Luz and Hunter cannot stay here. No matter how nice, how welcoming - no matter how much they want to, they can't stay here. Belos will find them - and kill them - if they do.

Luz and Hunter attempt to escape The Owl House. Arguments occur, and memories are brought back to the surface. They look up, and finally - finally - Luz and Hunter arrive at The Owl House.

Chapter 4 of my Post-Hollow Mind Au - where Hunter and Luz were trapped in the Mindscape of Emperor Belos for a full year, even though only three days pass in the outside world - is out! It's the end of this first mini-arc!

This chapter has the scene that I most wanted to write. It's actually a flashback to a point when Luz and Hunter were still trapped. It involves sibling dynamics and light glyphs, and I'm actually kinda proud of it!

If you saw the WIP of the scene earlier, then this chap. gives the rest of the context of what caused the flashback, as well as the conclusion of it!

Lemme know what y'all think of this chapter! Hope y'all enjoy <3

(also I have a question. what's the best thing to tag the characters! I'm seeing a bunch for both Hunter and Luz that involve various last names, as well as including the show in the tag, and idk what to do. any advice y'all could give me i'd really appreciate!)

i changed my mind, moving sucks (<- is in the cleaning up and getting rid of things step in the moving process)

#🔪.text #right now i'm working on going through my art binder to consolidate shit #bc right now i have two #the one i had in high school. and another one i got where i put a LOT of my old art #(this one is also a nicer and sturdier binder)#so i am moving everything from the high school art binder to the other one #but since i'm going through it i also have to take pictures of some of it for uploading to toyhouse #i've been at it for almost two hours #right now i'm taking a lunch break #but fuuuuck man.#then i'm gonna have to edit all these photos bc even tho they don't show up dark on my camera #for some fucking reason they do on my laptop #at least last time i did this they did #it feels like such a waste to use all the tools to get good lighting #when i ultimately still end up needing to edit the photo to be lighter/brighter anyway #ugh #also we aren't like Actually moving yet. we haven't found/secured a house #this is just the preparation part lol #and it suuuuucks #i have so much shit i need to go through aghhh

random thought but i just. arggrhgh i love the vibe toby fox creates in both undertale and deltarune where despite all the silliness and fun and joy, there's this constant feeling of sort of repressed sadness that permeates the whole thing as well. its something that i really really love

#undertale of course has the overarching sadness of the monsters all being trapped which is really good #but to me. the way this manifests in deltarune makes me fucking insaneeee im going to be sick like #again having all the silliness and jokes and fun with these characters. but also like they all have serious issues #and on a larger scale with hometown as a space. i could talk forever about hometown and how much it makes me crazy #like it feels so alive and real and. AGHGHGHH. small towns (blows up)#anyways but like hometown's history regarding dess' disappearance and asgore being fired and everything its like. aghhh #i dont know. something about having all that in the background while all the fun happens just makes it so much better #not that you cant just have fun for fun's sake #but it feels so much more real that there's problems going on at the same time as the fun #and of course the light world having lots of Issues in the characters' lives and the dark world being mostly silliness plays into #the whole theme of escapism and everything. but yeah idk THIS WAS VERY BADLY WORDED i cant explain it very well #but it makes me a little crazy #serena.txt

aughh sometimes i see a blog or carrd or pinned post or whatever and the colors are just so blinding — especially if they make usage of tumblr's text colors thingy (i wish these were customizable colors though. i mean ive seen some people do it but HOW) its hard for me to look at. pain and misery and suffering
